Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what personal information Stack Wave Hub collects, why, how it’s used, and your rights regarding that data. Last updated: 2026.
Who we are
Stack Wave Hub is an independent publication operated by Thiago Castro. Contact details on the contact page. This policy covers the website at stackwavehub.com and its language variants (/es/ for Spanish).
What data we collect, and why
Information you provide voluntarily
When you fill out our contact form, subscribe to a newsletter (if active), or comment on a post, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and the content of your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry, send you the newsletter content you signed up for, or display your comment.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use GA4 to understand how visitors use the site at an aggregate level — which posts are most read, where readers come from geographically (country level), what devices they use. GA4 uses anonymized IP addresses by default and does not personally identify individual visitors to us. Data is retained for 14 months by default.
- Search Console. Google Search Console reports aggregate search terms that lead to our site, click-through rates, and indexation status. This is also non-personally-identifying.
- Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent). These are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies to make the site work properly (essential cookies — language preference, e.g.), to track analytics anonymously, and to support affiliate link attribution. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still function for reading but may not remember preferences.
Third-party services in use
Stack Wave Hub uses the following third-party services that may receive your data when you visit:
- Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager — anonymized usage analytics
- Google Search Console — aggregate search performance data
- Cloudflare — content delivery network and basic DDoS protection; logs IP for abuse prevention
- Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant (e.g., ElevenLabs, PartnerStack) may set tracking cookies on your browser to attribute potential purchases back to us
- Web hosting (Easypanel) — server logs as described above
- Gravatar — if you comment using an email registered at Gravatar.com, your associated profile image may display next to your comment
Affiliate link attribution
When you click an affiliate link on this site, the destination merchant typically places a cookie on your browser that identifies us as the referring affiliate. This cookie typically expires after 30–90 days depending on the merchant. We do not see or have access to this cookie’s data. The merchant uses it solely to attribute any purchase you make back to us. You can clear these cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights regarding your data
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR in the EU, LGPD in Brazil, CCPA in California, etc.), you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, delete your data, restrict or object to processing, or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Personal data you submit voluntarily (e.g., contact form messages) is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable archival period thereafter. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per GA4’s 14-month default.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via a brief notice on the homepage for at least 30 days following the update.
Questions
For any question about how we handle your data, or to exercise any of the rights described above, write to us via the contact page.
